DRDO test-flies new generation Akash missile
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Friday made a successful flight-test of the new generation Akash (Akash-NG) missile from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the Odisha coast. In the flight test against high-speed unmanned aerial target, conducted at 1030 hours on 12 January 2024, Akash-NG successfully intercepted a high-speed unmanned aerial target flying at a very low altitude.
