Supply chain transparency and visibility are distinct concepts. Supply chain visibility allows businesses to monitor operations at every supply chain tier, enabling stakeholders to share relevant information such as daily production activities, QC inspection reports, corrective actions, factory audits, labor conditions, raw material sourcing information, and compliance assurance. Achieving supply chain visibility ensures all parties are on the same page, leading to greater efficiency. However, supply chain transparency requires businesses to share manufacturing details with the public, as they can only claim transparency if they share this knowledge internally.
